Rustico Vigna is a unique holiday home: a picturesque chalet in the vineyards of Valtellina, in an incomparable position in the mountains of the province of Sondrio, on the sunny side of the Costiera dei Cech, with a view of the entire valley below from Morbegno to Lake Como.
The holiday home in the vineyards is the ideal solution for a stay of tranquillity and relaxation, thanks to the spectacular panoramic outdoor swimming pool with hydro-massage, but also an excellent starting point for exploring the Valtellina in spring, summer and autumn, with nature walks, activities in the surrounding area and good food.
Rustico Vigna is the result of the recovery of an ancient ruin on a plot of land on the terraces of the Valtellina, worked with toil and sweat by our ancestors. The structure has been entirely renovated using natural materials typical of rural constructions of the past, recovering wood from existing structures and using local stone. Rustico Vigna is born from the past but looks to modernity; today it is in fact equipped with photovoltaic and thermal solar panels for the production of energy from renewable sources.

Entire holiday home on 2 floors, for 5-6 persons
The interior of the Rustico Vigna is a two-storey chalet with a total area of 65 m2 : on the ground floor there is a large living area with kitchen, table and sofa, a storage room and a laundry room; on the upper floor there is a double bedroom with balcony, a bedroom with a raised single bed and a pull-out bed for 1-2 persons, a bathroom with shower, toilet, stone sink and bidet.
The house has 5 beds + 1 cot for children (up to 2 years) and is an ideal solution for families, couples or small groups.
The presence of antique wood in walls, ceilings and floors embellishes the environment and conveys an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality, but the main feature is certainly the large stone incorporated in the building, an erratic granite boulder from the head of Val Masino and transported here by the action of the glaciers.

Dominating the scene is the large outdoor swimming pool with a view of the Alpine peaks and the valley, perfectly set in the natural surroundings, among the trees and the sounds of the mountains that fill the air with peace and serenity.

Lake Como and surroundings
A few kilometres away, the mountain peaks are reflected in the waters of Lake Como, with its beaches, water sports and picture-postcard villages: Varenna, Gravedona, Bellagio, Menaggio.

The natural wonders of the mountains in two of Valtellina’s most beautiful valleys: Val Masino with the Val di Mello nature reserve, a climbers’ paradise, and Valgerola with its peaks, right opposite Rustico Vigna.
Cech Coast
The Rhaetian side of the lower Valtellina on which Rustico Vigna lies, sun-kissed even in the coldest months, is a mine full of treasures to be discovered, not just peaks to be reached, such as the ancient Domofole Castle.
St. Moritz and Engadine
We are in the far north of Lombardy, on the border with verdant Switzerland: getting to St. Moritz is easy, from the Maloja Pass via Valchiavenna or on board the famous Bernina Red Train.
Bormio and Livigno
Continuing beyond Sondrio, you arrive in the upper Valtellina, where Alpine nature provides everything you need for any mountain activity: trekking, cycling and mountain biking, walking, sports and thermal waters.

Covered private parking available approx. 100 m from the property, reached via steps through the vines or a secondary ramp uphill (walkable with a pushchair).
It should be noted that due to the peculiarities of Rustico Vigna and its location, there are architectural barriers within the structure and along the walking distance to reach it.
The heated pool is 4 x 10 m in size, reaches a maximum height of 1.4 m and is equipped with a low-level whirlpool area. Available from 4 May to 27 September.
Presence of the owner 2/3 times a week for garden care, gardening and pool cleaning.
Pets are allowed.
No smoking inside the facility.

How to reach Rustico Vigna
The holiday home is located in lower Valtellina, along the road connecting the village of Santa Croce to Civo. We recommend reaching us by car, passing through the outskirts of Morbegno.
